Dos Brazos Abiertos Guest Home is located in the Osa Peninsula mountain hamlet of Dos Brazos del Rio Tigre. This picturesque town lies, as its name implies at the confluence of the two forks of the Osa Peninsula's largest river, the Río Tigre. Dos Brazos is today practically a ghost town in comparison to the thousands of gold-rush miners that lived along the rivers in the gold rush heyday of the 1980s. Dos Brazos is serviced by a gravel road passable year round that connects to the Puerto Jimenez highway. It is about twenty minutes by car from Puerto Jimenez and is serviced by public bus with four round trips daily. Puerto Jimenez is connected to San Jose by six commercial flights a day during high season and five during the green season. Air carriers include Sansa and Natureair. The best way to get to Dos Brazos Abiertos is by rental car, which will provide the opportunity to explore farther afield during their stay and make it easier to carry groceries and supplies.
